According to reports, the police say that Zhukovskyy crashed an 18-wheeler in Texas about two weeks before the crash in New Hampshire that left seven people dead. In addition, just a few months before rolling over an 18-wheeler, Zhukovskyy was found with a crack pipe in one of his pockets.
His company, Western Transport, still decided to let him drive after the Texas crash. This company reportedly has a poor record with drivers, who get written up almost four times as much as the national average. Zhukovskyy has now been charged with negligent homicide and as a green card holder may face deportation back to his home country of Ukraine.
Zhukovskyy was not cited for the Texas accident, telling authorities that he was only swerving to miss a car that had cut him off. However, he currently faces preventative detention for his driving record including an OUI arrest in Connecticut.
