Truck Driver Injured in Accident in San Antonio

KSAT 12 News is reporting that after an 18-wheeler accident that happened on the northeast side of San Antonio, roads were shut down for a short time while emergency crews worked the scene of the accident.

According to police, the accident happened at about midnight on Monday at Loop 410 W.W. White Road. Police further stated that the driver of the truck lost control on curve in the highway, and slid into the grass where it jackknifed.

The highway and the street were shut down for a short time while emergency crews worked to clear the accident. A hazmat team was called in to inspect the gas tank on the big rig for leaks.

The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries at the scene of the accident but it expected to be okay. The road and the highway have since been cleared and reopened.
