Two Corpus Christi Construction Workers Injured in Flash Fire
Details of the Corpus Christi Flash Fire
According to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, the incident occurred around 3 pm at a home in the 6800 block of White Wing Drive near Saratoga.
Corpus Christi fire Battalion Chief Michael Schmidt said the contracted workers were working on the home’s kitchen when a liquid sprayer caught fire, adding that the pressure created by the sudden ignition blew the front door of the house.
Both men were transported to Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline for what appeared to be second-degree burns on 20 to 30 percent of their bodies.
The incident remains under investigation.
