Two Dead in Pittsburgh Wrong-Way Collision

Two women are dead following a head-on collision along Route 28 in Pittsburgh.

Details of the Fatal Pittsburgh Crash

According to WTAE, the crash occurred around 3:30 am Thursday when a car driven by Sidney Cope, 24, entered the inbound lanes of Route 28 heading the wrong direction.

Cope’s vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Clara Roberts, also 24. Both Cope and Roberts were killed in the crash.

Friends of Roberts said she had recently moved to Pennsylvania and was on her way to the airport to spend a long Easter weekend with her family in Texas.

Police have not determined why Cope was traveling in the wrong direction.
