Woman, 51, Killed in Two-Car Crash; Three Others Injured

According to WITN, a 51-year-old woman died after her vehicle was hit by a car in Greenville, North Carolina, on Monday night.

Details of Fatal Car Crash

Arcelious Valentine, 58, and his passenger, 51-year-old Meta Gilliam, were crossing Memorial Drive, a five lane road, at around 7:45 p.m. local time when the accident occurred. Valentine told officials that he was driving across the road from one hotel to another when their vehicle was struck by a car on the passenger side.

Gilliam, 51, died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the second vehicle, 23-year-old Daniel McLawhorn, and his passenger were treated at Vidant Medical Center. Valentine was also transported to Vidant Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

WITN reports that a Traffic Safety Unit is working on reconstructing the crash. The fatal wreck occurred outside the Quality Inn. Officials say charges are pending, but it is unclear who could face charges in the crash.
