Woman Severely Injured in Early Morning 18-Wheeler Collision


According to KEYE, a woman is in critical condition after being involved in a wrong-way crash in New Braunfels with a semi-truck early Wednesday morning.

Woman Trapped Inside Wrecked Car

At around 3:12 a.m., a 26-year-old Austin woman was traveling north in the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 near Solms Road.

The woman collided with an 18-wheeler, crushing her car and trapping her inside with extensive injuries, reports KEYE. The driver of the semi was uninjured in the crash.

According to KEYE, the victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with critical injuries. The crash backed up early morning traffic for hours as southbound lanes on Interstate 35 were closed during the investigation.
