Woman Struck by Car and Truck while Crossing Street

According to Lehigh Valley Live, a female pedestrian is injured after being hit by a car and a pickup truck while crossing the street in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday morning.

Details of the Pedestrian Accident

A woman attempted to cross Freemansburg Avenue at Third Street when the crash occurred. The woman was first hit by a Chevrolet Malibu and then a Dodge Ram pickup truck at approximately 7:00 a.m. local time.

Emergency workers had to remove the pinned woman from underneath the Dodge Ram, according to Lehigh Valley Live. The woman was seriously injured and taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill for surgery.

No citations have been issued to any of the drivers involved in the wreck, reports Lehigh Valley Live. Police stated that the area had poor visibility at the time of the crash. The crash is under investigation.
