Woman Suffers Fatal Injuries after being Pinned between Two Vehicles

According to KCBD, a woman is dead after being hit by another vehicle while outside her friend’s car in Lubbock, Texas, on Sunday morning.

Details of Fatal Accident

The deadly car accident occurred on West Loop 289 access road at around 1:00 p.m. Mackenzie McCulloch, 21, was the passenger in her friend’s vehicle when they crashed and required a tow. The two women were waiting for a tow and another friend to take them home when the crash happened.

Officials say McCulloch, standing outside and at the rear of the broken-down car, was hit by a car traveling southbound on the access road, pinning her between the two vehicles. Responding officers attempted to help her but her injuries were too severe, and she died at the scene of the crash.

No charges have been filed, according to KCBD. The Lubbock Police Department Accident Investigation Division is actively investigating the fatal accident.
