1 Dead, 5 injured in Bexar County Tanker Explosion
One man was killed and four other people were hospitalized when a rail tanker exploded at the Alamo Junction Rail Park on Friday.
Details of the Bexar County Tanker Explosion
According to KSAT, the explosion occurred Friday afternoon in the 12500 block of Old Corpus Christi Road near Braunig Lake and Interstate 37 in south Bexar County.
Officials say the workers were cleaning residue from the inside of the tanker when the explosion occurred. One of the victims was found dead at the scene. The five others were transported to the hospital with at least one worker sustaining critical injuries.
It is unclear how the explosion occurred, but the incident is under investigation.
