About the Fatal Construction Accident
According to the Connecticut Post, two construction workers were in a truck which was parked on the shoulder of Route 8, when a vehicle struck them from the right hand side.
The evading vehicle was in the left lane but then entered the construction pattern on the right and struck the basket on the truck.

The bucket truck is owned by Mohawk Northeast of New Britain, and the workers were employees of the company, not the state DOT, said Kevin Nursick , a DOT spokesman. “They were doing bridge work on Route 8,’’ he said.
