A KXAN News report from Williamson County details the tragic death of a young child bicyclist.
The 14-year-old bicyclist was suddenly killed in a car collision while riding near State Highway 29. The initial incident occurred Saturday, November 14, night around 8:30 p.m. A driver sporting a 2010 Toyota Prius hit the boy while traveling on the highway.
Reports state that the two collided in a darkened area of the street. The boy did not have any visible light upon his bicycle. It is always advised for bicyclists or motorcyclists to wear visible clothing or have a light to help drivers distinguish them. The official sergeant from the Texas Department of Public Safety determined the time and location of the crash.
