Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that police are saying that the driver of a hit and run vehicle stopped the car just long enough to pull the body of a pedestrian off the hood of the car and dump it in an alley before speeding away from the scene on Tuesday evening.

Police believe the pedestrian was in his 50s, and was crossing the street on the 6600 block of Michigan Avenue at about 9:35 p.m. on the west side of the city when he was hit, according to Sergeant Michael Woody.

The male driver of the vehicle and his four passengers were in a red Cavalier, according to Woody. The Sergeant further stated that the men drove into an alley where they left the body of the victim in the alley.
