About the Seacoast Century Ride Accident

According to Fox News, Hampton police were called Saturday morning about a motor vehicle accident involving a group of cyclists on a New Hampshire bridge. A 20-year-old motorist slammed into the group when crossing over from the southbound lane into the northbound lane killing two Massachusetts women and hurting two more.

Description of the Bicycle Accident

  • Police say the investigation is still ongoing, whether the driver will charged or not is still up in the air, and the event organizers did not immediately comment on the situation.
  • The two fatalities were identified as Pamela Wells, 60, of South Hamilton, and Elise Bouchard, 52, of Danvers.
  • Riders had to be redirected around the bridge and a small section of Route 1A (Ocean Boulevard) was closed off until 2 p.m. during the investigation.
