Yashica Kaushal9 months ago

Casablanca has recalled about 30,000 ceiling fan units due to an injury hazard from falling parts.

About the Casablanca Ceiling Fan Recall

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Casablanca recalled 43 ceiling fan models (about 30,000 units) manufactured in 2013 and 2014.

Units were sold at lighting store showrooms nationwide and major home improvement online retailers from January 2013 through December 2014 between $350 and $620. The recall was announced after Casablanca received eight reports of fan motor and blades falling with one report of minor injury and one report of minor property damage.

Affected models have a gold label on top of the motor housing that includes “Casablanca” and a model number.  Affected production dates are the last two numbers of the production code (xx13 and xx14).  Fans with a factory code of AO1 and no green dot on the motor housing have also been recalled.

Consumers can contact Casablanca for a free in-home inspection and repair. Casablanca can be reached at 855-800-3789 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET through Monday and Friday.
