Both Drivers Hospitalized

According to KRIS-TV, the incident occurred on Ayers Street near Holly Road Thursday morning when a silver van drifted into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital for treatment – one of the drivers was complaining of chest pains.

Authorities said the driver of the van was on his phone when the accident occurred. He was cited for Distracted Driving and for Failing to Maintain his Lane.
