A Utah family is mourning the loss of an 8-year-old to a possible DUI accident.

Details about the Fatal Accident

KUTV News is reporting that a family in Utah is mourning the loss of an 8-year-old boy from Payson, who was hit and killed by a woman that police say was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident. The boy was riding his skateboard when he was hit.

The accident happened on Sunday afternoon near the intersection of 1000 South and 800 West, the day after 8-year-old Kaydon Sillitoe celebrated his birthday.

According to the boy’s family, he had just gotten the skateboard as a birthday gift and was out riding with his sister at the time of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle that hit Sillitoe was 38-year-old Tabatha Magoon. Magoon is currently behind bars at the Utah County jail, accused of driving under the influence of either drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident.
