An SUV crashed into a day care center in Billerica on Thursday afternoon, injuring four people, including three children.  Police are still investigating the accident.

Crews Free Toddler Pinned Under Vehicle

The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon just before 5:30 p.m., when a 38-year-old woman crashed into a day care building, pinning a toddler beneath her vehicle.

Police say the driver of the SUV was driving north on Boston Road when she had a medical episode which caused her to hit several cars, a fence, and then crash into the wall of a day care center.

Four children were playing in the area the vehicle crashed through, and a toddler was pinned under the vehicle. The toddler was rushed to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington after being freed by responders.

The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two other children were treated for injuries at the scene.
