Worker Dies After Falling Off Dock

According to the New Haven Register News, the time of death for William Klemenz was 6:33 p.m. at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

He had been treated for brain cancer a year and a half ago, so the cause of the fall was thought to be a medical emergency. Klemenz was an employee Blakeslee Arpaia Chapman and was a member of the carpenters union for 36 years.

The workers said he was working with a welder in the front barge, handing him medal rods when he had disappeared in the water.

He was not in the water long before he was pulled out by some of his fellow workers. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is currently investigating the death although there is currently no signs of foul play.
