Construction Worker Killed in Fall in Harlem
A construction worker has died after he fell while working on a building in East Harlem.
Details about the Construction Accident
The victim was identified as 62-year-old Konstantinos Potamousis. Police were called just after noon to a brick apartment building in East Harlem where they found the worker at the back of the building.
The man was unconscious and unresponsive, and emergency crew pronounced him dead at the scene of the accident.
Police say that the victim was replacing gutters on the roof of the six-story building when he fell. Authorities have said that the incident was an accident. The building that the victim was working had several active permits, but it is unclear if the work he was doing was covered by one of the permits.
The accident currently remains under investigation.
