A man who was trying to remove a vehicle that was stuck in the mud at Fort Worth construction site was killed Thursday morning around 8 a.m.

Details of the Fatal Accident

It happened at a construction site on Berkshire Lake Boulevard, near Blue Mound Road and Highway 287.

According to police, workers were trying to pull out a vehicle that had gotten stuck in the mud. The victim then got underneath the vehicle to attach it to a tractor and told the others to turn on the truck.

When the truck was turned on, it unexpectedly got traction and rolled on top of the man. Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although police said they are treating the case as an accident, homicide detectives were called to the scene to help with the investigation.

They have not yet released the name of the victim.
