A construction worker was killed in an accident that happened in West Haven.

Details about the Fatal Construction Accident

Fox 61 News is reporting that a construction worker was killed in an accident that happened on Tuesday afternoon at a construction site on Boston Post Road, which is in West Haven.

It has further been reported that the worker was struck by a heavy piece of equipment during the accident, which reportedly happened at about noon on Tuesday afternoon.

Boston Road was closed between Grasso Boulevard and Marginal Road in order for emergency crews to have access to the location of the accident.

Both the West Haven Police and Fire Departments are investigating the accident along with officials and representatives with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which works to investigate all workplace accidents in the United States.

The construction site where the accident happened is just west of the West River.
