Contract Worker Killed in Scaffolding Accident
A construction worker was killed when he fell off scaffolding in Washington.
Details about the Fatal Construction Accident
KIRO 7 News is reporting that the construction worker who was killed on Monday morning in an accident that happened in Issaquah has been identified as 46-year-old Phillip Ramsey, who worked for the Fairweather Masonry.
Police and other emergency crews confirm that the man was working on a brick façade when he fell off the apartment building project that was taking place at 7th Avenue and Gillman Boulevard. Ramsey was working for a subcontractor as a mason.
Recent inspections of some of the company’s worksites indicates that the latest inspection was done in March of this year at a construction site in On Elliot Avenue, which is in the Seattle area. Records indicate that at that site, a worker slipped 14 feet from the top of a ladder.
