Corpus Christi Authorities Investigate Pedestrian Accident

Corpus Christi authorities are continuing their investigation of a pedestrian accident that left one man seriously injured last Wednesday.

Details of The Accident

According to KIII News, a man is still in the hospital in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle on the Crosstown Expressway Wednesday night. The accident happened around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday on the Crosstown Expressway near Port Avenue.

Preliminary reports indicate the driver in the accident, identified as a 40-year-old male, was traveling in the middle lane of the freeway when he struck a 25-year-old that was attempting to cross the road.

The pedestrian suffered several broken bones in addition to other severe injuries. He was transported to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.
