Destiny Baker2 years ago

According to KRIS-TV, Jim Koch, 68, was killed Thursday when his vehicle was struck head-on by a wrong way driver.

Authorities Believe Alcohol was a Factor

Reports indicate the wrong way driver, Julian Padron, may have been drinking prior to the fatal accident.

Padron’s co-workers stated that he had attended a Christmas party at the bar he worked at in downtown Corpus Christi earlier that evening.

Police state that after leaving the party, Padron began driving east on westbound Highway 358 before colliding with Koch’s Ford Fiesta near Bear Lane.

Police are investigating the incident as intoxication manslaughter.
