Corpus Christi Motorcyclist Charged with Intoxication Assault

Corpus Christi authorities arrested a motorcyclist on charges of intoxication assault following an early morning accident.

Details of the Corpus Christi Crash

KIII-TV reports 45-year-old Ruben Martinez, Jr. was under the influence of alcohol when he crashed his motorcycle, seriously injuries his female passenger.

The incident occurred around 2:25 am Thursday on the 6000 block of South Alameda Street. Both Martinez and his passenger were thrown from the vehicle when it struck a curb.

The passenger was transported to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital for treatment. Reports state she suffered severe injuries to her left hand.
