Dallas Rollover Kills One

Jonathan Hernandez7 months ago

One person was killed in a rollover accident that happened on US 75.

Details about the Fatal Rollover

WFAA News is reporting that a fatal rollover accident happened in the northbound lanes of U.S. 75 and Midpark Road in Dallas and caused major traffic delays on Friday morning.

According to Dallas police, the two-vehicle accident happened in the High Occupancy Vehicle Lane between Midpark and Spring Valley Roads at about 5:30 a.m.

Police have further stated that a 49-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a retaining wall on the side of the interstate, which caused the vehicle to roll over. The driver of that vehicle was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. A passenger who was in that vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

After the accident, another driver stopped behind the scene of the accident – possibly to stop and render aid – when his vehicle was hit by a driver who was later arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

All of the northbound lanes were closed for a few hours during the morning commute so police could investigate the circumstances of the accidents.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the department.
