Authorities have begun removing debris and investigating an overpass to determine what caused a section of concrete to fall to the road below, killing two.

Details of the Fatal Bonney Accident

According to The Daily News, on April 13th Josh and Vanessa Ellis, two youth pastors, were driving on Angeline Road in Bonney Lake, Washington when a concrete slab fell from an overpass and crushed their vehicle.

According to city officials, the contractors were working outside of their designated demolition plan and therefore city officials did not know to close the roads.

On Thursday morning, crews began to remove the concrete in order to do a full investigation to figure out what went wrong.
