Details of the Delaware Crash

According to the Columbus Dispatch, a woman from Frederickstown was killed in a multi-vehicle crash that involved a dump truck on Thursday evening near Sanbury.

62-year-old Suzanne R. Baird died at the scene of the accident on Route 36 near the intersection of Condit Road right before 5 p.m., according to State Highway Patrol.

Baird was headed west on Route 36 and attempted to make a left turn onto Condit Road when she failed to yield to a dump truck that was travelling east on Route 36. 57-year-old Nathan Shellenbarger was operating the dump truck.

The initial collision resulted in a chain reaction involving two other vehicles.

After the crash, the dump truck then went off the side of the road and into a Northstar Automotive parking lot where it hit three unoccupied vehicles.
