Dentist Drops Screwdriver Down Patient’s Throat

Kathalene E. Willis5 years ago

A Kentucky woman plans to sue her dentist for allegedly dropping a small screwdriver down her throat during a dental procedure.

Screwdriver Had to be Surgically Removed

According to reports, after the incident, the dentist told his 71-year-old patient to try to regurgitate the screwdriver. When that didn’t work, he sent her home with instructions to eat a diet high in fiber in order to let the screwdriver pass through.

A month later, the woman was admitted into the hospital after complaining of abdominal pains; the screwdriver had to be surgically removed by doctors. The woman reportedly plans to sue her dentist for malpractice.
