Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods, Inc. has recently issued a voluntary recall on Not-Ready-To-Eat frozen food items.

About the Dr. Praeger’s Frozen Food Recall

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the products contain a potential risk of Listeria monocytogenes contamination

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious, sometimes fatal, infections in young children, elderly people, and others that have a weakened immune system.  Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes range from high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.  Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

Thus far, no illnesses have been reported as a result of the products covered by the recall.
