Driver Killed in 18-Wheeler Rollover

Jonathan Hernandez1 year ago

What was originally reported to be an auto-pedestrian accident instead turns out to be a rollover accident involving an 18-wheeler.

Details about the Rollover

As originally reported by CBSDFW based in Fort Worth, a man died on Friday afternoon of last week after an 18-wheeler hit him on a busy roadway near the Alliance Airport in Haslet.

Fort Worth police reported that the victim was outside working on his vehicle when he was hit by another vehicle on the 100 block of Intermodal Parkway.

However, this was not the case. CBSDFW later updated their initial report and said stated that the victim was not involved in a pedestrian accident with another vehicle, but that the victim was a big rig driver who got out of the truck to do a repair on the side of the road when the 18-wheeler rolled over him.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
