Driver, Victim Identified in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Police have identified the victim who was killed in a pedestrian accident and have charge the driver of the vehicle with a DWI.

Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

The Connecticut Post is reporting that police have finally identified the victim who was killed on Sunday and have officially charged the driver of the vehicle with operating under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Vincent Pezzella, who was walking on the sidewalk down Bridgeport Avenue near Berwyn Street when he was hit by a vehicle as he attempted to cross traffic along Bridgeport Avenue.

The victim was taken to the Bridgeport Hospital where he was later pronounced dead by the staff at the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle at the time of the accident has been identified as 46-year-old Hector Frias-Angomas, and was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
