Police have charged 23-year-old Craig Welch with intoxication manslaughter following a fatal accident at an intersection in Atascocita, Texas early Sunday morning.

About the Fatal Atascocita Car Crash

According to the Houston Chronicle, Welch was traveling westbound along Farm Road 1960 when he ran a red light and struck a Chevrolet Corvette at the West Lake Houston Parkway Intersection.

The Corvette’s driver, Omar Jaramillo, was killed in the collision and the driver’s mother, Irene Jaramillo, was injured. Ms. Jaramillo was rushed to an area hospital where she was treated for survivable injuries.
