Dump Truck Accident Kills One in Windham

One person was killed in an accident that happened in Windham.

Details about the Fatal Accident

WGME News is reporting that a fatal accident happened that closed down a major road in Windham on Monday morning along Route 302. According to police, 33-year-old Joshua R. Greenwood was killed in the accident.

Windham police have stated that Greenwood was driving a 2005 Ford F-250, and was killed after he crashed the vehicle into the back of a dump truck that was carrying a trailer with heavy machinery on it. The accident happened in from of Seacost Adventure Park.

At this time, police believe that Greenwood was heading west and might have been turning into the truck when the accident happened. The driver of the dump truck and another vehicle involved in the accident were both uninjured.

An investigation remains ongoing at this time as police are trying to determine what caused the accident.
