Elderly Man Dead After Mower Accident
One man killed during a mowing accident that happened in North Carolina.
Details about the Fatal Accident
According to a statement released on Tuesday morning from the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office, both Stacy and Down East Fire and Rescue Departments responded to calls of a man that was trapped beneath his lawnmower, which had overturned and caused him to fall into a canal. The victim was identified as 77-year-old Lloyd Harrell Fulcher.
Two passers-by were driving by the area when they were flagged down by Fulcher’s wife. Both of the people helped the wife in getting the mower off of the man. The man was transported to Carteret Health Care Center where he was later pronounced dead. An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
