One man was killed in an accident that happened in Charlton.

Details about the Fatal Accident

News 10 is reporting that New York State Police spent hours conduction their investigation into a serious accident that happened in Charlton that involved two vehicles and six victims.

State police have indicated that the serious accident happened on Wednesday evening near the intersection of Route 67 and West Line Road at about 5:44 p.m. The accident claimed the life of 63-year-old Robert Mongin of Amsterdam.

According to police, 32-year-old Lele Mamedova, of Broadalbin was driving a 2015 Chrysler vehicle heading north on West Line Road when she arrived at the intersection of State Route 67 and failed to make a complete stop at the stop sign.

Her vehicle was then hit by the 1997 Porsche convertible that was being driven by Mongin that was heading west on State Route 67. After the collision, the convertible continued west, before it went off the roadway and came to a rest on its roof.
