Elderly Pedestrian Hit and Injured by Motorcycle

One person was injured in a motorcycle-pedestrian accident that happened in Reading.

Details about the Pedestrian Accident

The Reading Eagle is reporting that a pedestrian was injured in an accident in which the pedestrian was struck by a motorcycle in Reading on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Reading Police have further stated that they were called to the scene of the accident just after 4 p.m., near the intersection of North Fourth and Walnut Streets, after they received calls of two people being down in the roadway.

The identity of the man has not been released by authorities at this time. Witnesses say that they saw the motorcyclist hit the older man, knocking the man down. The driver of the motorcycle was sent in the air and landed in the metal railing of a home.

Both of the people involved in the accident were initially conscious, and were transported to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
