Eleven Injured in Connecticut School Bus Accident
Details of the Connecticut Bus Accident
According to NBC Connecticut, seven children between the ages of 7 and 8 were aboard the school bus when it collided with a Jeep around 8:30 am. All seven children were transported to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Authorities believe the bus driver was likely distracted at the time of the accident and failed to see the Jeep that was stopped in front of her.
The bus driver and the driver of the Jeep were both transported to area hospitals. Reports indicate the Jeep driver suffered facial injuries.
The accident has been designated a mass casualty incident by the Aetna Ambulance Service.
