Evenflo Recalls Child Safety Seats

Evenflo has issued a recall for their Transitions Three-in-One Combination Booster Seat following reports that children can loosen the seat’s harness.

About the Evenflo Car Seat Recall

Evenflo is recalling over 50,000 child safety seats for the fear the children will loosen the harness by themselves and put themselves in danger.

The seats being recalled are their Transitions Three-in-One Combination Booster Seat made in December 18 2014 to January 29, 2016.

Affected consumers will receive a free remedy kit which will restrict the child’s ability to loosen the harness.

Evenflo Response to the Recall

Evenflo states that the official documents regarding the issue say that an adjusting button that loosens the harness is too close and easy for a child to undo by themselves.

If the harness isn’t snug, then the child is at increased risk of serious injury or death in case of an accident. Luckily, no injuries have been reported. Evenflo is notifying owners and will send a kit with a new seat pad and adjuster assembly.
