Family of Hit and Run Victim Still Seeking Man Responsible

Israel Vidal, age 9, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on December 7, 2013 on Burleson Road, near the intersection of Burleson and Highway 183 in Austin. The perpetrator is still unknown.

The family is now offering a reward of $3,000 to anyone who can come forth with information to help solve the mystery and provide closure to them.

Details of the Fatal Hit-and-Run

  • According to KXAN, the family had gotten out of their car after a collision to survey the damage.
  • A white Chevy pickup lost control due to the ice and crashed into Israel Vidal, causing his death.
  • The driver of the pickup did not stop.

The family of the victim had a press conference on Wednesday to announce the reward for an individual with any information regarding the car or its owner.
