Family of Six Killed in Plane Crash
On June 8, 2012 a family of six was killed when their Pilatus PC-12/47 aircraft went down in a remote swamp area in Florida. The father (who was flying the plane), the mother, and their four children were all killed while flying back to Junction City, Kansas from the Bahamas.
Plane Fell Apart Before Crash
Although the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, officials say that the plane began to fall apart before the crash. Officials also say that the parts separated before the crash, and that parts of the aircraft have been found as far as two miles from the crash site. The aviation accident remains under investigation.
