Details about the Fatal Three Vehicle Accident

According to WBNS-10TV, the accident occurred in Columbus, Ohio around 6 p.m. on Tuesday July 14th.  Columbus Police Department reported that the accident took place at East Broad Street and North Waggoner Road.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has stated that the intersection collision involved a Kia SUV, a Hyundai Sonata, and a GMC Canyon pick-up truck.

It was reported that it seemed the Sonata was traveling eastbound, and stopped in a turning lane to wait to turn left. The SUV then ran into the rear of the Sonata, that collision then pushed the SUV into westbound traffic, which caused it to be struck on the driver side by the pick-up truck.

Dianndria Mendenhall, 28 years old, was the driver of the SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other drivers were taken to the hospital and are expected to fully recover.

As of right now the cause of the crash is still undetermined.
