Destiny Baker3 years ago

According to the L.A. Times, the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration is investigating reports of transmission failure in 2013 Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti JX35s models.

About the NHTSA Nissan Investigation

  • The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) is launching a probe into Nissan after receiving reports from consumers about transmission failures in the 2013 Pathfinder and Infiniti JX35 models.
  • The complaints filed by owners concern a leak in the transmission fueling line resulting in loss of power in the transmission.
  • Neither Nissan nor the NHTSA have received reports of injuries or accidents in correlation to the transmission failure.
  • The investigation affects about 110,000 Nissan vehicles.

Despite the reports, Nissan has stated that it does not plan to recall the vehicles affected.
