Fiery Crash on I-10 Claims At Least 1 Life

A fiery crash on Interstate 10 closed all main westbound lanes for hours on Monday and claimed the life of at least one victim.

About the Crash

On Monday, April 27, all westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Campbell were temporarily closed for about 5 hours due to a fatal crash involving several cars.

According to the initial reports, an 18-wheeler semi-truck crashed into a passenger car around 7 P.M. This crash closed part of the Katy freeway until 11:45 P.M. that night. Authorities state that when the 18-wheeler hit the passenger car it burst into flames, killing at least on person in the vehicle.

Authorities are still investigating the incident, and further information was not immediately available.

  • There were no deathless days on Texas roads in 2013.
