Five Killed in Kansas City, MO Trucking Accident

Five people were killed Saturday after a car that was stopped on a Kansas City freeway was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer.

Details of the Fatal Accident

According to Reuters, two women and three toddlers are dead as a resutl of a violent trucking accident that occurred on Interstate 435 near downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

Authorities are still investigating the incident, but early reports indicate the car carrying the five occupants was stopped in the outermost southbound lane of I-435 when the accident occurred.

It is unknown if the car ran out of gas or became disabled. Two of the occupants died upon impact and the other three died after being transported to area hospitals.
