Details about the Accident in Florida

The Palm Beach Post is reporting that a teenager from Florida died in a head-on collision just one day after turning 18 and buying a new vehicle.

When Alexander Frith was found, he was wearing only a t-shirt. He had reportedly crashed his new Dodge Charger directly into a pickup truck in Sebastian. According to police, Frith was driving in speeds exceeding 85 miles per hours when he drove through two stop signs and hit a pedestrian before colliding with the truck on Sunday.

The pedestrian who was hit by Frith was able to get away from most of the impact, but he did suffer from a broken arm after being hit by the side mirror of the vehicle. The driver of the pickup truck, 51-year-old Frederick Klein, was transported to the Homes Regional Medical Center where he was listed in serious condition. Some reports indicate that Klein is in a coma.

Police say that Frith hosted a party at his home the night before the accident, and that they found drugs after conducting a search of the teen’s residence.

Police ordered a toxicology report to be conducted to determine the sobriety of the teenager at the time of the accident. The full report of the toxicology should take at least six to eight weeks to arrive.
