Florida Woman Killed in Collision with Dump Truck

The Florida Highway Patrol has released the identity of a woman that was killed Thursday evening when her vehicle collided with a dump truck.

Details about the Florida Accident with the Dump Truck

78-year-old Sandra Altman died at a local hospital on Thursday evening after her car collided into the back of a dump truck on State Road 408, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Sergeant Kim Montes said that Altman was driving a 1996 Honda near the exit for State Road 417 at around 6:35 p.m. when a dump truck driver in front of her slowed down due to traffic.

The victim did not slowdown in time and crashed into the back of the dump truck. The woman was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the dump truck was not injured.

Troopers responded to another unrelated crash later that evening which involved a motorcyclist. One person, who has not been identified, died in that crash.
