Ford Issues Park It Now Notice for F-150 Trucks

Tina Robinson2 years ago

Owners of 2014 Ford F-150s are being told not to drive the trucks until repairs to the power steering in the trucks can be made, according to Reuters.

About the Ford Park It Now Notice

On Tuesday, Ford issued a statement advising owners of its F-150 pickup trucks not to drive the vehicles until fixed. The affected trucks have a motor position sensor magnet in the electronic power assist steering gears that was improperly installed. Ford has said it is unaware of any accidents or injuries related to the defect.

The automaker has also stopped sales of the top-selling trucks until repaired. Overall, about 5,675 trucks are affected by the recall. Tuesday’s move expanded a previous recall of 372 F-150s that was announced earlier this month. The affected vehicles were manufactured from May 26, 2014 to June 19, 2014.

According to Ford, about 260 of the vehicles have been delivered to customers. The remaining vehicles are either at or on their way to dealers.
