Ford Recalls 83,250 Vehicles

Lilibeth Ramirez2 years ago

Ford Motor Company has recalled six different car and SUV models, resulting in a total of 83,250 vehicles.

About the Ford Recall

According to ABC News, Ford has recalled the vehicles because of a faulty part, which can increase the risk of an automobile accident.

The motor company states that due to improper installation of a clip in the axle, the halfshaft is able to disengage from the linkshaft leading to the inability to transmit power to the wheels.

Separation of halfshaft and linkshaft can also cause vehicles to roll away while parked if the emergency brake isn’t engaged.

No accidents or injuries in relation to the defective part have been reported. Ford will begin free repairs of vehicles by the end of August, once owners have been notified.
