A forklift operator was killed when he was pinned beneath the vehicle.

Details about the Fatal Forklift Accident

NBCDFW News is reporting that the diver of a large forklift was killed on Wednesday in an accident in which the forklift vehicle overturned and pinned the man underneath, according to Rowlett police.

The operator of the forklift was in the process of unloading a tractor-trailer at a construction site near Scenic Drive and Cabott Cove when the accident happened at about 8:15 a.m., police stated.

At this time, the identity of the operator of the forklift has not been confirmed nor released to the public, but police did say that the victim was a 36-year-old man.

A sign at the construction site indicated that the project the man was working on was a number of apartment buildings to be named Terra Lago.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
